I am a Red Fox fan! Back in the 1980s, my late husband Bill Pulver and I began our friendship with Marist College. We regularly attended the men’s and women’s basketball games, both at home and on the road. We considered our fellow Red Fox Club members and other friends from the Marist community as extended family and happily shared our support for the team and the College. While not his alma mater, Marist held a special place in Bill’s heart and he claimed Marist as his own. When Bill and I created a trust as part of our estate plan, we named the College as a beneficiary to help future students.
Wanting to help today’s generation of Red Foxes, too, I recently established the Red Fox Scholarship that provides an annual award to a deserving student. Getting to know our grateful recipient has been a joy.
My husband, Artie Giordano, and I traveled to Ireland a few years ago to support the Marist men’s team which was playing in a tournament in Dublin. Great fun cheering on our Red Foxes—and they won the championship!
