Join the Marist Legacy Society and Create Your Legacy

The Marist Legacy Society is a valued circle of charitably minded individuals who have included the University in their estate plans. Their enlightened generosity is helping to make a Marist education possible for future generations of students.

Typically, Legacy Society members include Marist University as a beneficiary in one or more of the following:

• Will or living trust
• Retirement account or IRA
• Life insurance policy
• Checking account, savings account, or CD

Marist also works with individuals to establish income-producing gifts including:

• Charitable gift annuities
• Charitable remainder trusts
• Charitable lead trusts 

Members are presented with a Legacy Society pin, receive selected publications, and are invited to University gatherings throughout the year—including an annual recognition celebration with the president of Marist University.

Depending on the type of gift and the resources contributed or transferred, donors could benefit from significant tax savings and receive guaranteed income for life.
